Details. The Michael King Writers' Centre has organised a literary event to mark Matariki. Four leading Maori writers have agreed to take part: novelist - James George, historian - Aroha Harris, playwright - Albert Belz, children's author and founder of the Warrior School - Tim Tipene. They will explore the meaning of Matariki and celebrate Maori story-telling.
