Takapuna Beach is a popular beach where locals and visitors a like flock to picnic and play. On a clear day beach-goers enjoy great views of the volcanic island of Rangitoto and other Hauraki Gulf islands.

Takapuna Beach has good parking, a large boat ramp, toilets and a changing block.

From the attractive reserve and picnic area alongside the beach, it is only a short stroll to cafes, boutique shops and a modern shopping centre. There is also a scenic coastal walkway that runs from Takapuna Beach to Milford Beach.

Enjoy a Free summer concert on the beach, coming up in January 2006. This will be worth having a day out at the beach.
